Swedish Grand Prix
The Swedish Grand Prix was a round of the Formula One World Championship from to It took place at the Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp (Gislaved Municipality), about 30km from Jönköping, in Småland, Sweden.
saw the only race appearance of the Brabham BT46B. This car was also known at the Fan car. This race car had a large fan in the back of the car. Brabham said the fan was for cooling the car. But the fan also pulled air form underneath the car, creating an large amount of downforce. Niki Lauda won the race in the Fan car.
The deaths in of both Ronnie Peterson and Gunnar Nilsson contributed to dropping the Swedish GP from the world championship. Interest for Formula One in Sweden fell following the death of these two Swedish racers.

Scandinavian Raceway is an attractive motor racetrack arena that holds both motorcycle and car races. Scandinavian Raceway was inaugurated in and only five years later, in , Sweden's first Formula 1 Grand Prix race took place on the track. Six more Formula 1 World Championship races were held at Anderstorp up until In addition to F1, a number of World Championship motorcycle races have also been held at Scandinavian Raceway over the years.
Today, the track is open to the general public who can use their own street car/motorcycle and competition cars/motorcycles for track days. An F1 car experience is also available through Rajamäki Racing Experience. The track also hosts non-motor related events, such as the Swedish Half Marathon Championships, Team Rynkeby charity cyclists, among others.
