Korg has recently opened the Korg Gallery at The Musical Museum in Brentford, London. This permanent exhibition is dedicated to the history of Korg synthesizers, from the company’s launch in , all the way up to its current line-up.

To mark the opening, we headed up to the Gallery to take a private tour, guided by Korg’s Luke Edwards. In the video above, he takes us on a whistle-stop tour of the most important and influential instruments in Korg’s history, including ‘70s analogue icons, ‘80s digital innovations, ‘90s workstations, and more.

Since its founding in , musée KORG is a private museum with the theme of Korg's design, which has always been at the forefront of the music scene with great sound and innovative ideas.

The exhibition range divides the 27 years from to into four eras, and exhibits with episodes at the time of development.

We also exhibited products centered on synthesizers from to around the world.

You can see the designs of electronic musical instruments all over the world, such as the national pattern of the design and the transition of the design of each manufacturer.

 

More than 60 products from miniMoog to Soviet Polivoks are on display.

    NAMM : The NAMM show is THE place to get up close with all the latest kit and our team on the showfloor won't stop until every new bit of kit has come under their microscope.

    Live from the show floor we got up close and personal with Korg’s ‘new’ Sm. We say ‘new’ because not only is this a remake of Korg’s first synth but is actually the second time that Korg has produced a faithful reissue.

    “We did the remake of the full-size version a couple of years ago and we thought we’d bring it back, make it a little more compact and accessible in a mini version,” explains Korg brand ambassador, Luke Edwards in our video.

    “The original Mini was a single oscillator synth and then a couple of years later we brought out the S which added a second oscillator and that’s what this is based on, so it’s a two oscillator synth.”
